About us
In the Turkish language, ‘Emel’ is a female given name that means ‘aim,’ ‘aspiration,’ ‘desire,’ or ‘goal.’ It comes from the Arabic word ‘amal’ (أمل), meaning hope, aspiration or expectation.
For Emel Hub, this meaning epitomises the work that we do and forms the ethos which steers us. It is the learners' aspirations and goals which drive us to do our best for them and help them find the right people to guide them.
We help learners turn their educational goals into reality.
At Emel Hub, our extensive network of partnerships enables us to reach learners across a wide range of communities and locations. We work collaboratively with training providers, colleges, community organisations, local groups and education partners to identify individuals who would benefit from Functional Skills English and Maths programmes.
Our established relationships within the adult education sector give us a strong understanding of the communities we serve and the barriers that can prevent adults from engaging with education. Through trusted partnerships and targeted outreach, we are able to connect with potential learners who may not otherwise be aware of the opportunities available to them.
We develop partnerships based on trust, communication and shared objectives. We take the time to understand the needs of each education provider, including their course requirements, learner eligibility, delivery model and progression objectives. This allows us to tailor our learner recruitment activity and focus our efforts on reaching suitable candidates.
